Southern Maine Parent Awareness honored Arabella Perez, director of THRIVE System of Care in Lewiston, with its first Catalyst for Change Award. Perez, who lives in Portland, received the award at SMPAs Fall Family Conference in Wells earlier this month. Sue Henri-MacKenzie, SMPA executive director, presented the award to Perez, while Brenda Bennett, executive director of Learning Disabilities Association of Maine, looked on.
